MISSION

The Manini Marketing Go to Grow Conference is a two (2) day intensive boot camp that teaches small business owners how to "rapidly take your passion, get into action, and skyrocket your business to the next level of success." 

From training about the ideal entrepreneurial mindset to practical "little or no budget" methods, we will give people the tools they need to clarify and achieve their business promotion, public relations and marketing and sales goals.  Plus, there will be lots of opportunity to network and position your business so that it is remembered by the Manini Marketing Ohana.



THE MANINI METAPHOR

We chose the small tropical Manini as our symbol as a representative of small business.  When a fish is as small as a Manini, it has to act differently than larger fish for survival, i.e., swimming in schools for protection, relying on speed and agility, and utilizing camoflauge. 

In similar manner, small business needs to engage in cooperative networking and joint ventures, take advantage of free media, and incorporate new directions sooner than it's larger, slower competitors.  We believe our tag line "Are You Ready to Grow?" reflects what many Maninis really want to do in the long run... not remain Maninis forever.

THE CONCEPT

Most small business is started from a passion to do something of importance to the entrepreneur.  Unfortunately, there is very little business training for those starting out with few resources and no staff.  In fact, most business BBA and MBA programs turn out young professionals who are well trained to do just the opposite, i.e., work with lots of resources and big staffs in large or Fortune 500 type companies.  Ironically, Fortune 500 type companies make up less than 1% of all businesses in America.  76% of all businesses have no employees and 98% of all businesses have less than 20 employees.

More than 50% of all new Manini (small) business owners also don't really know what it takes in order to survive and thrive as evident by the 1 out of every 2 survival rate of new businesses (44% within four years, National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship, a new study from the Bureau of Labor Statistics).  Or if they do have lots of tools and resources, often they don't know which ones to use; how to effectively use the ones they have; or where to put their budget.  Studies examining entrepreneurs who have had training and/or education in entrepreneurial skill consistently show a much higher success rate (as high as 80-90%).



This conference is about providing supplemental training, education, and exposure to entrepreneurs who have not had enough of the training they need and want to accelerate their learning and marketing mastery to a higher level.

This conference specifically targets how to apply common-sense, street smart marketing techniques to transform the passion of entreprenuership into the practical successful outcomes they so very much desire.  The conference is put on by none other than those who are sometimes referred in reverent tones as the "rainmakers" --  street smart, credible entrepreneurs that have succeeded in growing their enterprises to a substantial level of success -- the key people in firms most responsible for the firm's success. The first step for many Manini's will be to get to know and build long term relationships with these people (bigger fish) so that they may find inspiration and mentors who may guide their future successful behavior.

The reciprocal of the relationship is also true.  There are a significant number of physical and human resources in the community that need better exposure to those that can really use the  assistance.
